The Science building passenger elevator is out of service for emergency repairs. The service disruption will last until at least mid morning tomorrow Friday, 9/1/06.

The Lot 20 parking garage elevator is out of service for emergency repairs until approximately 12:00pm on Thursday, 8/24/2006.

The Science building passenger elevator will be out of service from today, Monday, 8/21/2006 through Wednesday, 8/23/2006, for emergency replacement of a valve.

Beginning Wednesday 8/16/2006 through Friday 8/18/2006 the sidewalk on the north side of Humanities, between Humanities and the Student Services building, will be closed for repairs.

Existing driveway next to portable T-N, and sidewalk curbs and gutter north of Thornton Hall will be removed. Access ramps at Portables T-H, T-J and T-N are closed through the construction site.

The work will include removal and replacement of the pathway between Business and HSS, and also the steps and ramps from Business to the HSS courtyard. In addition the curb cut at the north end of Thornton Hall will be removed and replaced, and portions of the sidewalk between the Towers conference center and Lot 20 will be replaced.

The Parking Garage Lot 20 elevator is out of service for emergency repairs. It is anticipated that it will be returned to service by Monday 4/24/06. Anyone requiring ADA access parking should park on the roof level of the garage, as I am advised that there are an adequate number of ADA parking spaces on the roof level.

As a result of the exterior repainting of the Science Building and the Business Building over the summer it will be necessary to close pathways adjacent to these buildings on an as-needed basis. Accessible entrances to the south side of the Science Bldg. and the north end of the Business Building will be maintained throughout the course of the project. Barricades and other signage will signal construction areas. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The elevator in the Business building is out of service for emergency repairs. It is anticipated that the elevator will be out of service through Tuesday, 3/15/05.

The pathway between Burk Hall and Fine Arts is partially obstructed by contractors making ADA modifications to the pathway. The weather is delaying the completion of the work.

The ADA entrance on the southwest corner of the HSS building will be closed on Friday, 1/14/05, from 7:00AM until 5:00PM while the glass is being replaced.

Painting the exteriors of the Residence Dining Center, Ward Hall, and Park Hall. The scope of work also includes pressure washing the brick surfaces of the buildings. The Contractor's work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Entrances and exits to the buildings may be blocked while work is in progress overhead; signs and barricades will direct people to alternate entrances/exits. Residents and passersby may notice the odor of the urethane product and some noise from the equipment, especially the pressure washers, power rollers, and the tools used to install lag bolts for the scaffolding.
