The elevator located in the lobby of the Corporation Yard 2 story building will be out of operation on Tuesday August 28, 2012 for installation of an emergency battery powered lowering device for this elevator.

From July 13th through August 17th, 2012 the plaza level of the student center will be receiving new flooring and a complete remodel of the Information Center.

Contractors re-roofing the HSS building have repositioned a debris chute and dump truck on the HSS North Wing west side in order to minimize complaints of noise and dust from occupied faculty offices and classrooms. The new location for the next two (2) months is next to the northwest stairwell. The debris chute and dump truck will interrupt service vehicles from entering on the north side along the asphalt path between Business Building and HSS Building. Pedestrian traffic and accessibility paths remain open around this area. Emergency telephone is accessible. There is yellow caution tape and red flags around this area.

The elevator nearest the bridge to and from parking Structure Lot 19 and 20 and the campus is currently out of service. Operational date will be posted.

During the week of March 19, 2012 (March 19th through March 23rd), the pathway between Science and Hensill Hall, and between the Science elevator and the quad will be the site of work making paving improvement. Landscaping work will also be done at the bridge entry to campus from Lot 20. Accessible routes are open with occasional momentary closures for equipment movement, and flagpersons will assist pedestrians. Notice of detours and warnings will be posted to advise the public if necessary. Please be cautious in the area.

During the week of March 19, 2012 (March 19th through March 23rd), portions of the sidewalk on the north side of Holloway Avenue, between the Library and Administration Building will be closed and the adjacent area subject to construction noise, dust and traffic due to the installation of concrete bases for site lighting poles. Notice of detours and warnings will be posted to advise the public. Please avoid the area and use the pathways through the Quad as an alternative route.

Note: Work did not occur over the weekend and is underway this a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 with completion, clean-up, and removal of barricades by end of week. On Saturday, March 3, 2012 and Sunday, March 4, 2012, the sidewalk on the north side of Holloway Avenue, between the Library and Administration Building will be closed and the adjacent area subject to construction noise, dust and traffic due to the paving improvements being performed. Notice of detours and warnings will be posted to advise the public. Please avoid the area and use the pathways through the Quad as an alternative route. This work is necessary to provide a new driveway for Lot #3.

Starting the morning of Friday, February 24, 2012 and continuing through Tuesday, March 2, 2012, the elevator at the southeast corner of the parking garage will be shut down for hoistway frame painting.

Elevator service will be temporarily disabled while systems review and maintenance is being performed. Service could be returned as early as tomorrow, however; service may be down through until Wednesday Feb. 15.

AT&T will be performing underground utility work at the north sidewalk along Holloway Avenue during the period of Saturday, January 28, 2012 through the end of April, 2012. Work will be occurring on weekends between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm and intermittently on weekdays from 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Starting December 20, 2011 and extending through mid-January 2012, the pathway between Burk Hall, Fine Arts, the Humanities Building and the Student Services Building will be partially closed and subject to construction noise, dust and traffic due to the paving improvements being performed. Notice of detours and warnings will be posted to advise the public. Please avoid the area and use the pathways through the Quad as an alternative when accessing the campus from Tapia Drive or the Parking Garage. Those needing to enter the inner-campus from the dormitories or Village should use the pathway on the north side of the Village and continue onto the pathway between Burk Hall and the Student Health Center, which will lead into the Quad. On-campus shuttle service will be unable to pick-up or drop-off riders at the east entrance of the Humanities Building. On-campus shuttle service riders will be picked-up and dropped-off at the west entrance of the building only during this period. Also impacted will be the pathway on the north side of the Humanities Building. The pathway leading from the north entrance of the Humanities Building and heading towards Cafe Rosso will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Those needing to enter the inner- campus from the Humanities Building should use the east exit of the building (facing the Creative Arts Building). Those needing to go to or from the dormitories or Village should use the pathway which runs between the Student Services Building and Building C of the Village.
