Gymnasium interior door to Room 149 will undergo threshold repairs. This is not a public entrance. Alternative access can be arranged with Gymnasium Management Staff.

Student Services Building entrance doors continue to undergo replacement and repair. Entrance / exit doors will be propped open while automatic door controls are being upgraded.

The Utilities Extension Project encompasses several activities many of which will affect campus pathways during the project. The following is a summary of the affected routes and available alternate routes. SFSU-CPDC will update this alert with more detailed information as the contractors schedule is developed and the information becomes available. Font Blvd.: Starting in late September 2010 through mid-November 2010, there will be localized disruptions starting along the north side of the street and later on the south side. Contractors will either provide temporary alternate pedestrian pathways at these locations or direct pedestrians to the unaffected side of the street. Tapia Dr.: From the School of the Arts (SoTA) property east along the Humanities Bldg, the sidewalk along the north side of the street will be closed to pedestrians and there will be no parking from mid- October 2010 through early January 2011. Alternate pedestrian route is the south side of the street. Also, access to the south entrances to Humanities will be closed during this time. Alternate access to the building is the east (main) entrance to Humanities. Pathway between Village and SoTA: This pathway will be closed to pedestrians from early December 2010 through mid-May 2011 - vehicular access to the Village parking garage will remain available. The alternate pedestrian pathways are either through the Village or along the north side of the Village. Centennial Walk: During the Winter Break, this area will be closed to pedestrians from Tapia Dr to the Student Services Bldg. Alternate accessible pedestrian pathways are located either to the north (between Student Health Center and Burk Hall) or to the south along Holloway Ave. Lake Merced Blvd.: From Mid-December through January 2011, there will be work affecting the sidewalk on the east side of the street at the southwest corner of the campus property. Localized alternate pedestrian pathway will be provided. Vehicular traffic will be affected in this area.

Please be advised that the Parking Garage (Lot 19/20) elevator will be out-of-service starting on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 to replace the elevator cab. Replacement work is scheduled to be complete on August 15, 2010. The elevator will be out-of-service throughout this period. August 5, 2010 Update: Completion date has been changed to August 18, 2010.

Early on the morning of Saturday, July 17, 2010 HVAC equipment replacement on the roof of the Fine Arts Building will necessitate construction crane activity at the Fine Arts / Creative Arts Plaza. For safety reasons, the plaza as well as floors 1 through 5 of Fine Arts building addition will be closed to the public. This closure is planned to last from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. There will be NO accessible path into the following areas: 1. Fine Arts / Creative Arts plaza for safety reasons. 2. Fine Arts Building on the south side east of the pedestrian stair bridge. 3. Creative Arts Building on the north side. 4. Student Union dining area on the south west side facing Fine Arts Building.

The Men's restroom on the Lower Conference Level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center will be renovated this summer. Construction is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The restroom will be closed for approximately 3 months while construction is taking place.

A portion of the west side of the Library construction fence will be reconfigured westerly to allow work on underground sewer pipes to take place. The fence will be moved before 8:00 a.m. on August 13, 2009 and is planned to be restored to its original configuration by Monday August 17, 2009.

The Fine Arts building elevator will be shutdown today for emergency repairs. The repairs will take at least until the end of business on Wednesday, 7/8/2009. If the elevator cannot be placed back in service by 5:00 pm on that date I will update this notice.

The elevator in Lot 20, the Parking Garage has been shut down for emergency repairs. The elevator will be shutdown from now 11:00 am, Thursday, 6/18/2009 until approximately 2:00 pm this afternoon.

The elevators in the Student Services building will be shutdown on Monday, 6/1/2009 from 7:00 am. They will be out of service for up to 6 hours for removal of an oil tank. It will be necessary to repeat this later this week to re-install the tank.

Repairs will be intermittent through spring break and will require intermittent closure of paths and roads in these locations: 1)The road up from Lot 20 to 5 corners 2)The Center of the Quad 3)Stadium drive near lot 6 garage 4)Garden of Remembrance between Burk hall and Fine Art 5)The paved waste collection area west side of Burk Hall 6)Courtyard between Science and Business.

The elevator in Lot 20, the Parking Garage has been shut down for emergency repairs. The repairs are expected to take until 5:00pm on Wednesday, 11/12/2008. The elevator will be out of service for the duration of the repair time.
