Creative Arts Bld. partially open: Update 6:30 PM

The Creative Arts Building is partially open. Currently the path/sidewalk along Tapia to the Humanities Creative Arts intersection is the most impacted by workers tending to water issues that occurred today. Chair lifts, passenger and freight elevators are operational. Updates on classes that will meet as scheduled today, those relocated for today and, for any changes regarding class location for Thursday and Friday refer to this URL: http://news.sfsu.edu/creative-arts-building-update. Likelihood of changes are highly probable, please refer to the URL above for Classroom Updates.
Alternate Access:
While restoration is underway please be aware that paths around the building may be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic. The path/sidewalk along Tapia to the Humanities building, Creative Arts intersection is currently impacted by barricades. Alternate routes may be fond along Holloway between the Library and Creative Arts. Passenger elevators and chair lifts are operational.

Burk Hall C wing Elevator Maintenance

The elevator at South East corner of Parking Lot 20 and 19 will remain out of service for the rest of the day and evening. Elevator will be conditionally operational in the morning. Elevator service technicians will be observing its functionality with newly installed parts. This is the elevator that is closest to the sky-walk headed toward the Student Services Building.
Alternate Access:
If the elevator service is delayed or interrupted by additional need to make adjustments, please be prepared to use NW elevator while adjustments are being made.

SOTA Sidewalk Closure

The public sidewalk along Font Boulevard from the driveway to the Village and extending to the round-about at Tapia Drive will be closed to pedestrians beginning 7:00a.m. Monday October 1, 2012 and will remain closed until Monday November 5, 2012. This is required to allow contractors to remove and replace the sidewalk in this area.

The alternative accessible pathway will be immediately adjacent to the work via the abutting parking lane.
