    08.30.2017.. The 335 Buckingham Elevator will be out of service due to some scheduled state work. We anticipate this Elevator will be down until mid-Friday afternoon.

    Alternate Access:
    While maintenance is being done, please use the elevator in the adjacent building. Access to the adjacent buildings elevator is available via connecting breezeways between each floor of either building, and of course from the ground floor entrance..

    August 9th. The Old Admin. Building elevator within the breezeway between the Admin Building and the Old Admin building at Holloway is out of order. An elevator technician has been called.

    Please use the Administration Buildings Main Elevator, and or the exterior exiting elevator at the south western corner of the building; this elevator is approachable from Holloway.

    Temp. Pathway closure: Hensill and Science at 19th

    Monday July 31st, Portions of the path connecting 19th Avenue and the campus between Hinsill and Science buildings will be temporarily closed for window washing.

    Campus Path Closure: North West Quad

    Update: On 7/27 and 7/28, Thursday - Friday, tree removal will require the closure of the path directly in front of the Gym and the C. Chavez Student Center.

    Alternate Access:
    Traffic flow between east and west sides of the campus will be detoured through the plaza directly in front of GYM.
    The pathway leading to the bookstore and ATM Machines is anticipated to remain open.

    Level 5 of Parking Structure: Lot 19, No Parking

    Beginning Thursday July 20, at 5pm the upper level of the parking structure will be closed to vehicular traffic; closure will run through Friday July 21, at 5pm.
    All elevators will be operational, and all standard SFSU parking regulations will be in effect while the upper level is closed.

    Alternate Access:
    Blue Zone parking will be available on the first level. To avoid being towed, please use designated Blue Zone parking stalls on the first level.
    All standard SFSU parking regulations will be in effect while the upper level is closed.
    All elevators will be operational, and the path from the SW elevator to the NE elevator will be open to pedestrian traffic.

    Burk Hall Main entrance remains closed

    Friday July 13-27: The main entrance of Burk Hall, located at the Eastern end of the building will be closed while work is being done on the roof. Workers will be present outside as well as within the building. Please note the work may affect traffic within either of the two elevators located at this end of the building.

    While work is being done, please use the south western entrance within the Garden of Remembrance to enter Burk Hall.

    Road Closure: behind the Gym Lot 6 Impacted

    On Friday June, 30 from 7am to 3pm a scheduled road closure will be staged behind GYM. The road closure will facilitate crane work for the SFSU PG and E substation project. ADA parking directly behind the GYM within the covered carport will be impacted.
    The Bike Barn, and LOT 6 parking structure underneath the GYM will be open, and accessible to cars via the road leading to and from State Drive and Five Corner intersection.
    LOT 6, on the East side of GYM, along with parking area behind TH/HH shall remain open during the road closure. These two parking areas will be accessible to cars from North State Drive, and the roadway leading along the back, north east side of Cox Stadium.
    Traffic entering and exiting to and from LOT 6 (East side of GYM) and from TH/HH will be monitored and diverted by Flaggers. Flaggers will direct traffic in both directions along the back north east end of COX. Be prepared for delays as this one lane road need to accommodate two way traffic..


    Alternate Access:
    Be aware, ADA parking spaces behind the Gym will be closed, please use the spaces available at either end of Gym and or, at the various other locations surrounding the campus while crane work is being done.

    Intermittent path closure: Ethnic Studies and Psychology

    April 21 - May 10. The path running between Ethnic Studies and Psychology building will be intermittently closed to allow painters to clean and paint the exterior of the building. Efforts will be made to assure the path stays open as often as possible.

    Alternate Access:
    While the path is closed you may traverse in a simulated parallel path, by traveling through the Ethnic Studies and Psychology building. Alternately, one may travel along the roadway to and from Five Corners and proceed on from the Student Services Building.

    225 is accessible to 235 upper floors via the breeze-way that connects both buildings, and covertly, 235 from the ground floor of 225.

    Campus Core Pathway Repairs

    Capital Planning Design & Construction department advises that few of the paved pathways on campus will undergo repaving, during the upcoming spring break.
    Contractors will demolish, asphalt patch and repave the following pathways (weather permitting), March 23-24, 2017.
    SCI-HSS pathway between 19th Avenue and the Science Building
    BH-PSY pathway
    BH-Cesar Chavez Student center pathway
    These pathways will be closed to traffic during the repaving project.
    Objective is to complete the work by Friday the 24th, however; rain may extend the work into the first or second day of next week.
    We urge campus community to use caution around these project locations, and to please follow construction signs for their safety.

    Please use alternative paths around the following areas: SCI-HSS pathway between 19th Avenue and the Science Building. BH-PSY pathway. BH-Cesar Chavez Student center pathway.

    Parking Lot 25 Closed March 19-24

    Lot-25 will be closed (with no public access) Monday March 19, through Friday, March 24, 2017.
    On Thursday, March 23, 2017, CAL FIRE / Office of the State Fire Marshal will be sponsoring a motion picture / television Special Effects training demonstration in Lot-25. The training is closed to the public.
    Please Note: the production will utilize live weapons with blank cartridges, stunts featuring a full body burn, a high fall demonstration, and a pyrotechnic special effects demonstration. A complete line of special effects to include; use and discharge of prop weapons, bullet effects, detonators and ignition devices will also be discharged, along with gasoline and propane explosions.
    The San Francisco Fire Department, SFPD, and the UPD will be on scene to observe the training.

    The path connecting Burk Hall and the Student Center is temporarily closed while the Paint Shop makes use of the sunny weather. Equipment will be moved later today to reopen the path.

    October 12. Burk Halls C-wing elevator, servicing the West end of the building, floors B through 3, will be out of service from October 12, through February 2017.

    Alternate Access:
    Elevators A and B located at the East end of Burk Hall can be used to access the second and third floors of Burk Halls C Wing. You will need to traverse the hallway from A and B elevator to C wing. If you have appointments and/or need access to the basement storerooms, and offices that are directly served by elevator C, please plan to reschedule meetings to an accessible location and/or request assistance with alternative access via the outdoor ramp that faces the Student Health and Services compound.
